During WW1 & 2, Allied Forces used motorcycle riders for a variety of roles, to include delivering messages, battle orders, situational updates, or intelligence reports, to soldiers on the front lines. They also delivered medical supplies, urgently needed parts and equipment, quickly transported personnel where needed, and rushed to downed aircraft to rescue surviving Allied aircrew.
